 Vestal Hills Memorial Park is situated on a hillside with a beautiful panoramic view of the town of Vestal. Special care has been taken with the landscaping to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of its trees and terrain.
Visitors can find comfort in the quiet dignity of the garden areas or enjoy the breathtaking view from Liberty Terrace or the Tower of Memories Mausoleum, which serves as a well-known community landmark. Locals often visit the Tower of Memories Mausoleum at Easter for sunrise services. Other special features of Vestal Hills Memorial Park include Mirror Lake, the Garden of Love and the Garden of Devotion.
The Memorial Park also includes special sections such as Liberty Terrace, the Veterans section designated the Field of Honor, a Masonic section and a quaint gazebo for meditation.
Vestal Hills offers emotional support and well-being to individuals during their grieving through a program called Gatherings for Hope and Healing. Weekly group meetings are conducted to help those struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one.
Vestal Hills Memorial Park undergoes continuing capital improvements, which include the recent addition of 25 acres and construction of new administrative and maintenance buildings. The Memorial Park recently completed the first phase of construction of its above-ground mausoleum called Garden of Reflections and opened the Garden of Serenity.
Recently, the Board of Directors approved the development of a cremation garden and a new garden of granite features with bronze plates.
A staff of 17 services the more than 400 burials each year, with almost 20,000 people interred within the park. A trust fund ensures the perpetual care and upkeep of this beautiful park and its facilities. |
